2026 World cup pedestrian zone: The Granville Strip is in Prime Party Position
Vancouver will host seven 2026 World Cup games this Summer, including two games for Team Canada!
VANCOUVER, BC — Downtown Vancouver is hitting an unprecedented high note this summer. With the historic FIFA World Cup 2026 matches kicking off down the road at BC Place and massive concert tours lighting up Rogers Arena, the energy in the Granville Entertainment District is at an all-time high.
To accommodate the massive influx of international soccer fans and locals, the City of Vancouver is transforming part of the downtown core into a massive celebration hub. The city is officially closing Granville Street to all vehicle traffic between Georgia Street and Davie Street, creating a dedicated, walkable 2026 World Cup pedestrian zone.
If you are wondering where to find the best nightlife and viewing hubs right in the center of this sultry summer lineup, you don't have to look far. The Granville Strip sits right in the heart of this pedestrian zone, putting the club in prime party position.
Where is the 2026 World Cup Pedestrian Zone in Vancouver?
The City is closing Granville Street to all vehicle traffic between Georgia Street and Davie Street. This "people-first" transformation is designed to showcase the heart of downtown to fans and visitors from every corner of the globe. According to Mayor Ken Sim, the zone will create a “free and inviting space for everyone to come together... and celebrate the beautiful game,” and, as it perfectly turns out, Vancouver’s most beautiful exotic dancers.
Expect extra public seating, expanded patios (perfect for people-watching), live music, and "selfie spots" that are guaranteed to break your Instagram feed.
Located at 1050 Granville Street (between Nelson Street and Helmcken Street), The Granville Strip is perfectly positioned within this secure perimeter. Fans can walk straight off the pedestrianized avenue and directly into Vancouver’s highest-rated exotic entertainment venue.
WHERE WILL THE GRANVILLE STRIP FIT INTO THE FIFA PEDESTRIAN ZONE?
If you’re wondering where we fit into this sultry summer lineup, don't worry—we’re exactly where you want us to be. The Granville Strip sits right in the heart of this pedestrian zone. While the rest of the street is busy with "family-friendly activations," we’ll be providing the kind of grown-up entertainment we’re famous for and handing out straight red cards like they’re candy.
With the street closed to cars, the walk from the stadium to our front door just became a victory lap. No traffic, no buses, just a straight shot to the best views in the city.

WHAT WILL BE ON OFFER AT THE #1 RATED STRIP CLUB?
Aaron B, Brand Manager for The Granville Strip, is already drawing up the playbook for when the fans descend.
"The World Cup is all about performance, talent, grace, and scoring when it counts," Aaron says with a wink. "While the players are battling it out on the grass, we’re ready to show the world a different kind of world-class talent. In our experience, events like the pedestrian zone are the perfect opportunity to introduce international fans to the stunning girls in Vancouver's highest-rated strip club. We’re the ultimate 'extra time' destination."
Aaron adds, "We’ve got the smoothest moves in the city, and unlike the VAR, our views are never under dispute. There will be fans celebrating a win and those nursing a loss, either way we’re expecting fans to turn the party all the way up when the final whistle blows."
Featuring the highest stage stripper pole in Canada (30ft!), and the only dedicated shower room in the city, The Granville Strip lives by its motto of, ‘BAD DECISIONS MAKE BETTER STORIES’, seven nights a week from 8pm-4am.
Your Guide to World Cup After-Parties & Match Viewings
Navigating downtown during a global tournament requires a game plan. With thousands of soccer fans flooding the streets, local venues will experience lines and wait times.
To help you maximize your tournament experience, here is how to navigate the nightlife zone smoothly:
1.Check the Live Match Schedule:Afternoons & Evenings.
The club broadcasts the World Cup matches live. Coordinate your arrival based on match times—whether you are catching early fixtures or heading over immediately after the final whistle blows at BC Place.
2.Arrive Early to Beat the Post-Match Rush: Starting from June 11, doors open at 5:00 PM.
Don't get stuck in a massive queue at 11:30 PM when the stadium empties. Swing by early to secure your spot. The venue is open 7 days a week from 5:00 PM to a late 4:00 AM close.
3.Grab a Re-Entry Stamp: Smart Transit Planning.
If you are heading to an evening match or a concert at Rogers Arena, stop by The Granville Strip first when doors open at 5:00 PM. Grab a re-entry stamp ahead of time to bypass the post-show surge later in the night.
4. Secure VIP Guestlist or Booth Access:Advanced Booking Recommended.
For group events, bachelor parties, or fans travelling in large international groups, booking a VIP table or getting on the guestlist in advance ensures guaranteed entry without waiting in the pedestrian zone lines.
Get Ready for Kickoff
As Jane Talbot, President of Downtown Van, put it, this is a chance to "experience the energy of the World Cup firsthand." We couldn't agree more. The energy on the street is going to be electric, but the heat inside The Granville Strip will be on another level.
So, when the sun goes down on the pedestrian zone this June, follow the neon lights. We’ve got the drinks cold, the girls ready, and a front-row seat to the sexiest summer Vancouver has ever seen.
See you on the Strip.
