It may not be immediately apparent when you stroll into The Granville Strip, but some of the incredible talent that graces our floor has also graced the iconic, glossy pages of legendary international publications like Playboy.
Let’s be honest: being featured in Playboy is a cultural milestone. Founded back in 1953 by Hugh Hefner, the magazine didn't just change media; it rewrote the rules of pop culture, fashion, and glamour. Over the decades, its pages have played host to some of the most recognizable faces on the planet, from Hollywood royalty like Marilyn Monroe and Madonna to BC's own Pamela Anderson.
To join those ranks takes confidence, the visual goods, and a leap of faith.

From The Granville Strip to International Glossy Pages
Lexi’s journey into the legendary magazine was no accident; it was a goal she set and chased down herself.
"I had been dancing for about a year when I started doing Playboy," Lexi shares.
When the ambition hit, she didn't wait around for magic to happen; she made the connection herself.
"I had wanted to do the magazines for a really long time. I found a photographer that did submissions for Playboy, sent them a direct message and asked if I could submit, and they told me that I was 100 percent able and that they would shoot me."
The Shoot: Toronto Vibes & Mom on Set
What followed was a high-fashion whirlwind. The team flew her out east, keeping things classy, high-end, and surprisingly close to home.
"They took me to Toronto, we did the photo shoot at the Toronto Fairmont, and my mom was there! It was super nice and cool. We had a stylist do my makeup, and they picked my outfits."
The appearance quickly came calling, starting with Europe and expanding outward.
"The first shoot was in Playboy Croatia, then the second was Playboy South Africa. The second shoot was a couple of years later with a different photographer, but we used the same hotel and did a similar style.”
With two appearances in one of the most famous publications, you'd imagine her coffee table book collection looks pretty sweet.
"I definitely loved being in the magazine. They sent me a bunch of free magazines—around 30 copies!"
